Triund Trek Itinerary

Board Evening Bus from Delhi to Dharamshala (Volvo 2×2 Seater).
Early Morning Arrival (between 8-9 a.m.) at Dharamshala.
Dharamshala to Mcleodganj by Maruti Alto (5 Km Journey).
After fresh up at mcleodganj, Start Trek to Triund.
4-5 Hour Trek. Stay overnight (camping)

After having breakfast, Return to Dharamshala,
Board Evening Bus from Dharamshala to Delhi (Volvo 2×2 Seater).

Evening:

  • Depart from Delhi on a comfortable Volvo 2×2 Seater bus.

Next Morning:

  • Arrive in Dharamshala.
  • Transfer to Mcleodganj by Maruti Alto (5 Km Journey).
  • Freshen up at Mcleodganj and have breakfast.

  • Railway: Board Evening Train from Delhi to Pathankot or Chandigarh. There are private and state transport buses are available from pathankot and chandigarh goes towards kangra and some buses goes directly to dharamshala. From dharamshala, mcleodganj is 5 kms, one can go by walk or take a shared cab towards mcleodganj.
  • Bus: There are direct buses available from Delhi to Dharamshala. These are 2×2 luxury volvo buses provides good comfort for night journey.
  • Flight: Nearest airport to dharamshala is Kangra Airport which is just 13 km from dharamshala.

During the summer months, the area enjoys pleasant temperatures averaging around 25°C, while in the winter, it becomes cold and chilly, with temperatures ranging between -1°C and 9°C.

Best Time to Visit Triund Trek

March to May- It is considered as the best time for Triund trek for beginners.

September to December– it is also a good time to go and especially for experts or for adventurous lovers.

Cancellation Policy

In case, you are unable to travel or willing to cancel the trip, you can transfer the trip to any of your friends/known persons.  Please note that this feature is applicable only when the status of the Booking is “Paid” and there are at least 5 days remaining before the departure date (departure date minus 5). Please note that the replacement would not be applicable to any Volvo/Train transport booked for the original participant. The same would be automatically canceled. This is simply because the seats booked in such transport mediums are not transferable.

The Refund of the amount will be processed as per deduction guidelines outlined below:

* If cancellations are made 30 days before the start date of the trip, 10% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees or get the full amount of the RoamingIndian trek voucher, which can be used later to book another trek.

* If cancellations are made 15-30 days before the start date of the trip, 40% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

* If cancellations are made within 0-15 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees or get a RoamingIndian trek voucher of 50% of the amount.

No. In normal weather, Triund Trek is fairly easy and you won’t need special trekking equipment. Just trekking shoes with a good grip are enough. However, please note that the winter trek in Triund does require special trekking gear and clothes, and this also increases the difficulty level of the trek.

Yes. Triund Trek is safe for amateurs in the normal summer and spring weather. In the rainy and winter seasons, the trail gets slippery and may not be very easy to hike. However, with good strength and proper trekking gear, it is safe for experienced travelers in all seasons.

The triund trek height at the highest point is 2,828 m. It lies at the foot of the Dhauladhar range with a beautiful view of the snow peaks in the range.

Due to the terrain, the connectivity for mobile phones may not be present at the top. However, at Mcleodganj you may still find connectivity at some places.

The total Triund Trek time is 3 days.

Depending on the weather, the triund trek will stay open till January. But, due to heavy snowfall in the months of January to February, the triund trek routes may be closed.
